What To Expect
Sunday School
Our discipleship hour or “Family Sunday School” starts at 9:45 (teaching begins at 10:00) in our fellowship hall. Feel free to drop in and we'll make sure you have the discussion materials for that Sunday. Our Worship Hour starts at 11:00 and lasts for approximately one hour.
How should I Dress?
We do not have a dress code at SPC. We have some people that wear a suit and tie, and others wear jeans and a shirt. We encourage you to dress in accord with your conscience as you come to worship the King of kings.
What about my children?
At SPC we have integrated worship. This means that we have our children with us to participate in corporate worship. We believe that it is profitable to their souls to hear the Word, pray theWord, sing the Word, and see the Word (in the Sacraments). For mothers with infants there is a "Mother's Room" available if there is need to step out. The sound of children in corporate worship is not a distraction, but a great joy.
What should I expect in the worship service?
At SPC we believe we maintain the practice of expository preaching. We work verse by verse through books of the Bible. We also sing rich hymns and Psalms. We are confessional which means we’ll stand and read various segments of The Westminster Confession of Faith (WCF), the catechisms, the Apostles' Creed, the Canons of Dort, etc. These will always be included in our worship bulletin.

Do I have to be Presbyterian?
You don’t have to be a Presbyterian to be Presbyterian. People from various protestant backgrounds visit and possibly join Presbyterian churches. Your reasons for visiting are yours. We’d love to have you join us for a service, get to know you better, and answer any questions you might have.
